In every moment you’re faced with the opportunity to make something better or worse, by how you respond to it.
You’re faced with the choice to say a sharp word or to plant seeds of peace.
You can address foolishness or you can rise above it.
You can give an explanation for something or realize that some people don’t deserve one.
Some take every opportunity to address something about you and remain blinded to themselves…but your response decides how much power is given to their negativity.
Sometimes we forget that we have a choice and that whatever develops is a direct result of that choice.
We are in control of our emotions so we govern how we allow things to make us feel.
You won’t make it far on this journey dwelling on every feeling that surfaces or being reactive to distractions sent to derail your focus.
Be a person whose steps are ordered by God(Psalm 37:23), one who acknowledges Him on how to respond(Proverbs 3:6) & one who rests in His peace that surpasses all understanding(Philippians 4:6).
Most importantly, if you want to be at peace, no matter the circumstance, all you have to do is focus on God’s promises.
I know that’s easier said than done when you want to lash out but don’t forget; we know how this story ends…we win.
God has already given us the victory over the enemy’s tactics, so don’t become a weapon against your own growth.
Relax, God honors obedience & He’s still in control.
Love, Teaira.
